Offset umbrellas are primarily designed to provide shade and they do as they are being position with an offset base. Cantilever umbrellas though, are designed with a steady and solid base but the pole that is slightly curved as it reaches the top. This provides greater stability. Although they generally look and function the same way, one benefit that you can get from cantilever umbrella is that they provide you with that much-needed ability to lower the height level to the umbrella from the ground without much hassle and effort.
